When to use Nano Banana 2
Nano Banana 2 is the default image model on Influverse and the one to keep using unless you have a reason not to. It runs on Google's Gemini image stack, generates from text, edits from references, and gives three quality tiers so you can draft cheaply and finish sharply. What sets it apart in day to day work is semantic editing: you can describe a change in plain language, move the character outdoors, change the jacket to leather, put a coffee cup in her right hand, and it applies the change while keeping the rest of the frame and, critically, the face. That is the property that matters most when you are running a character across dozens of posts, because the alternative is regenerating and hoping the likeness survives. It accepts a moderate stack of reference images, which is enough for a character plus an outfit plus a product in most shots. Use the lowest quality tier while you are still deciding what the image is, then rerun the settled prompt at the top tier for the frame you are actually going to publish or animate. Where you would move off it: Nano Banana Pro when the deliverable is a large 4K crop and the extra detail will actually be seen, GPT Image 2 when you want the cheapest possible drafts, Seedream 5.0 Pro when the scene has to be logically coherent rather than just attractive, and Flux 2 when you are compositing from many reference images at once. For everything else, including the profile image a character is built from, this is the model we would pick first and the one the platform defaults to.
