When to use Seedance 2.0

Seedance 2.0 is the resolution ladder of the catalogue. It is the only model that goes all the way to 4K, and it climbs through 480p, 720p and 1080p on the way, so one model covers everything from a rough draft to a finished asset you would put on a landing page or a paid placement. It works from text and from references rather than from a plain start image, and it will take a large set of reference images plus reference video, which is what makes it useful for keeping a character and a product consistent across a batch of clips. Native audio comes with every generation. Choose it when the output is going to be seen on something bigger than a phone, or when the clip has to survive being cropped, zoomed or re-framed in an editor later, because the extra pixels are what give you room to do that. Choose it also when you are producing a set of clips that must look like they came from the same shoot, since references are its primary input rather than an afterthought. Do not choose it as a drafting model. The price gap between the lowest and the highest resolution on this model is the largest in the catalogue, and it is easy to spend a lot of credits proving out a prompt at 4K that you could have proven out at 480p. The workflow we would recommend is to draft on Seedance 2.0 Mini, confirm the prompt and the references, then rerun the exact same inputs here at the resolution you actually need.
