AI Image Generation Models Compared — Kontext vs SeedDream vs Nano Banana
Overview of Influverse's image models
Influverse offers four distinct AI image generation models in the Image Studio, each built for a different use case. Rather than forcing you into a single model, you choose the one that best fits your creative need — and switch between them freely within the same session.
All models support multiple aspect ratios (TikTok 9:16, YouTube 16:9, Instagram 1:1, Facebook 4:3, Pinterest 3:4), so your content is always platform-ready. And all models use your character's profile image as a reference to maintain identity consistency across generations.
Additionally, Influverse has two character creation models — Nano Banana (photorealistic) and Influverse (artistic) — used specifically for creating new characters in the Library.
Reference-based models: best for character-consistent generation
Models: Nano Banana 2, SeedDream 4.5, Flux 2 Pro Edit — all reference-based for character consistency
Influverse's primary models (Nano Banana 2, SeedDream 4.5, Flux 2 Pro Edit) are designed for generating images that stay true to your character's face and identity. They use your character's profile image as a direct reference, ensuring the generated output looks like the same person in a different scene.
- • Best for: Character-consistent content — fashion shoots, lifestyle imagery, social media posts where facial identity must be preserved
- • Strengths: Excellent face preservation, high prompt adherence, clean output
- • Resolution: Up to 2K
- • Cost: 4 credits per image
- • Reference images: Uses profile image automatically (toggle on/off)
If you want your AI influencer to look like themselves in every post, the reference-based models are the default choice.
SeedDream 4.5: multi-reference, up to 4K
Model: ByteDance SeedDream v4.5
SeedDream 4.5 is Influverse's most versatile image model. It supports multi-reference generation — you can provide up to 10 reference images to guide the output — and produces images up to 4K resolution.
- • Best for: High-resolution content, multi-reference compositions, brand imagery, print-quality output
- • Strengths: 4K resolution, excellent with multiple reference images, beautiful lighting and detail
- • Resolution: 2K and 4K
- • Cost: 2 credits per image (the most affordable model)
- • Reference images: Up to 10 images for multi-reference guidance
SeedDream is ideal when you need the highest resolution output or want to combine multiple visual references into a single generation. At just 2 credits per image, it's also the most cost-effective model for batch content production.
Nano Banana 2: semantic editing via Gemini
Model: Nano Banana 2 (Gemini 3 Pro Image)
Nano Banana 2 is fundamentally different from the other models — it's a semantic image editor rather than a pure generator. You provide a reference image and a prompt describing what to change, and it intelligently modifies the image while preserving everything else.
- • Best for: Outfit changes, background swaps, accessory additions, style transformations — without regenerating the entire image
- • Strengths: Precise editing control, preserves unmodified regions, supports up to 5 reference images, resolutions from 0.5K to 4K
- • Resolution: 0.5K / 1K / 2K / 4K (tiered pricing)
- • Cost: 3–7 credits depending on resolution
- • Reference images: Up to 5 images
Use Nano Banana 2 when you have a great image and want to tweak specific elements — change the outfit, swap the background, add sunglasses — without starting from scratch.
Influverse model: artistic character style
Model: Influverse (Midjourney-style aesthetic)
The Influverse model produces images with an artistic, editorial aesthetic similar to Midjourney. It's used primarily for character creation but also available for image generation — ideal when you want a more stylised, less photorealistic look.
- • Best for: Artistic character designs, editorial-style content, stylised social media posts
- • Strengths: Beautiful artistic aesthetic, unique visual style that stands out from photorealistic content
- • Cost: 4 credits per image
Choose Influverse when you want your content to have a distinctive artistic flair rather than photorealism.
When to use which model
Quick decision guide based on your goal:
- “I want my character in a new scene” → Kontext — Best face preservation, 4 credits
- “I need the highest resolution possible” → SeedDream 4.5 — Up to 4K, only 2 credits
- “I want to edit an existing image” → Nano Banana 2 — Semantic editing, 3–7 credits
- “I want an artistic/editorial look” → Influverse — Midjourney-style aesthetic, 4 credits
- “I need to batch-produce 50 images cheaply” → SeedDream 4.5 — 2 credits × 50 = 100 credits total
- “I want to change just the outfit” → Nano Banana 2 — Edit without regenerating the whole image
There's no wrong choice — you can switch models freely and even use different models for different parts of the same content campaign.
